Migraine Surgery

The surgical treatment of migraine and chronic headaches is one of the most evolving fields in plastic surgery. Since it’s discovery in 2000 by Dr Bahman Guyuron the techniques have been developed and published in the most important and relevant journals of the specialty.

The prevalence of Migraine in the population is up to 20% in women and 8% in men, and some of these patients become chronic and refractory to the other treatments.

The more plastic surgeons learn the concepts and techniques of the surgeries, the more patients will benefit and have their qualities of life improved all around the world. There is still a great number of surgeons that don’t master the techniques and could add them to their practice.
